National Historic Landmark. A 277-acre treasure build in 1936 to commemorate the Texas Centennial Exposition. It comprises the largest group of cultrual facilities in Dallas. It's is also home to the largest collection of art deco architecture in the United States. The buildings meld architecture and art with strong geometric lines, painted stencil designs and bold murals. The site is best knwon today as the home of the annual Texas State Fair. The Cotton Bowl Stadium is also located ont he grounds. Nine museums, including the Science Place and the Women's Museum, are located here. Six million people visit the area each year.
