Western Heritage Sculpture Parks

Outdoor sculpture celebrating the Western heritage of the Dallas/Fort Worth area is found throughout the Metroplex. Pioneer Plaza, a mini park in downtown Dallas adjacent to the convention center, showcases 40 longhorn steer being herded by three cowboys.  They represent the cattle drives which forded the Trinity River on their way north to market. Mustangs at Las Colinas is the largest equestrian sculpture in the World.

These nine, larger than life mustangs are shown galloping through a stream in the heart of Irving's business district. Frisco's Centre at Preston Ridge is home to the longest continuous-themed bronze sculpture collection in the United States. Longhorns, cowboys and a chuck wagon bring a sense of the cattle drives along the Shawnee Trail.  For a sculpture tour go to:  www.visitdallas-fortworth.com (themed itineraries).
