Spanish Governor's Palace

...was the early capital building for the region known as Tejas (1722-1821) before Austin, Texas became the capital of Texas in 1836. This Early Capital building housed the municipal and military government for the Spanish Crown. A total of 32 Governor's and military staff presided here for a total of 99 years.
