Legends are big in San Antonio, and two of the biggest belong to the NBA World Champion San Antonio Spurs - Tim Duncan and David Robinson. In the 80s, Robinson joined the team, followed by Duncan in 1997, both top picks in the NBA draft. Together they brought a championship home in 1999, and again in 2003. The Spurs, who play in the SBC Center, have thrilled San Antonians for years. But that's not all - the San Antonio Missions are among the most exciting double-A baseball teams in the nation, The Texas League pro team is part of the L.A.
